About this tour
Everest Helicopter Tour from Kathmandu is the most popular day tour package available from the capital city of Nepal. The tour begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu. You will then board a helicopter flight to Lukla. After a short break and refueling at Lukla Airport, the helicopter will then take a short flight towards Pheriche for shuttling. The flyby flights are then shuttled to fly over Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Pumori, Kala Patthar, Everest Base Camp, Mt. Everest, Khumbu Icefall and Khumbu Glacier. After a successful completion of both the shuttle flights, all travelers will fly to Hotel Everest View. Here the travelers can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains with an option to enjoy their morning breakfast as well. The flight then returns back to Lukla for refueling before heading back to Kathmandu Airport. Our airport representative will then escort all the travelers back to their hotels in Kathmandu.

Itinerary
Stop 1
The trip begins with an early morning pick up of travelers from their hotel in Kathmandu. The travelers will then be escorted to Domestic Terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for their helicopter flight to Everest.
Stop 2
The travelers will now take an hour long helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. During the flight, the travelers may enjoy scenic view of the Himalayas and passing villages.
Stop 3
The travelers will now take a 15 minutes flight to a helipad in Pheriche. Here the helicopter will shuttle the passengers with 3+2 groups for a flyby flight above Everest Base Camp, Khumbu Glacier and Kala Patthar.
Stop 4
The travelers will take a flyby flight during their turn from Pheriche to Everest Base Camp, Khumbu Glacier and Kala Patthar. During the flight, the travelers will experience a close up view of Mt. Everest (8848 m), Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and many more.
Stop 5
The travelers after their scenic helicopter flight to Everest will take another flight to Hotel Everest View (3880 m), the highest placed five star hotel in the world. Here the travelers may enjoy a lavish breakfast (optional) with a view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam among others.
Stop 6
The travelers will now take a short flight (15 minutes) back to Lukla for refueling before heading back to Kathmandu. After their arrival in Kathmandu, the travelers will be escorted back to their respective hotels in Kathmandu.

When's the best time to fly?
October to November and March to April offer the clearest mountain visibility. The monsoon season (roughly June to September) brings cloud cover that can obscure the peaks or delay flights.
What should I bring?
Warm layers even if it's warm on the ground, since cabin temperatures drop noticeably at the altitudes these routes fly. Consider motion-sickness precautions too if you're not used to mountain flying.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
